Attracting more interest with every show. Catch them up close and in your face. http://www.therules.tv THE BLACK TULIPS are coming to South London. You should be here when they play. The feedback speaks for itself... "phenomenal voice… utterly, utterly glorious… 9/10" (Drowned In Sound) “destined to leave their unique imprint on the world… a band that could literally rip up the rulebook and start again right now” (God Is In The TV) "pompous, atmospheric, magisterial… like nothing I have ever heard before … all the hairs on my body stood on end…" (Disorder)_ “glam-damaged art-rat riot” (Maps) “BRILLIANT!… sends shivers down the spine… I keep having to get off my arse to press play again” (Glasswerk) “pointy scratchy uncompromising, glamorous, mysterious and wonderfully different… something rather special” (Organ demo of the week) “truly innovative” (Sounds XP) “frankly awesome… absolutely beautiful… when something's new enough to jar against what you've been led to expect from gig-going, you know that someone's hit the jackpot” (r*e*p*e*a*t) Seriously. Come. http://www.myspace.com/theblacktulips BLAH BLAH BLAH are deservedly loved as one of the most infectious and hard working bands. This year they have blitzed London with their blazing live set of skiffle punk laced with sharply observed lyrics. They have also given away over a thousand hand written free CDRs of classic songs that have enticed music fans to see them again. A genuine fan base. Increasingly in demand, last weekend they played at BOTH the best punky parties in London - luckily they were both in Peckham! There's a great affection in South East X for their perfect pop tune sparkler of a live set. This weekend's adventure finds them at two South London shows connected by an adventure. This band are getting too much in demand. When it comes to instant infectious entertainment, Blah Blah Blah RULE - that's why! http://www.myspace.com/blahblahblahandfriends ELEPHANT RESCUE PLAN : "Newport's band making machine has come up trumps again” (Radio 1). The Elephant Rescue Plan head over from a BBC Wales outside broadcast appearance. It's the celebratory London show, too... The Elephant Rescue Plan's debut five-track EP, No Ordinary Broadcast is out on October 30th(Ten-K Recordings) and also available digitally via http://www.disaudio.com. http://www.theelephantrescueplan EARWAX RADIO - in less than two years this has become a newer wave fave rave. Spanking new music, live sessions, interviews, news, gossip delivered like a natter down the pub. - it’s gained sufficient popularity to be going FM on host station TGR Sound (South East London/Essex) at the end of this year. When Earwax started podcasting (Jan-006), it was heavily over subscribed and collapsed on line. All is well since though, and following the success of the first Artful Broadcast (still being downloaded around the globe) - the increasingly busy Jamie and Andy will make a show right here, right now, and you’re all invited to be part of it! If you have an ace tune, bring it along. If you're up for an additional quick interview, get in touch with Earwax in advance via http://www.wax-music.com and http://www.myspace.com/earwaxradio - where you can hear all four previous Artful broadcasts. cheers! Please note that due their travelling adventure, Blah Blah Blah will be on stage early (after 8pm) but for updates on their set, watch this space!
